We spent four lovely days in Venice. Basically the short version of what we did is: We walked and walked and walked. Which means, boy do I have a lot of pictures for you! However, the trip ended on a slightly negative note. We were supposed to take the train back to Vienna yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, we had the bad luck (it was Friday the 13th, after all) of the Italian National Rail being on strike! So we lugged all of our bags back to our rented apartment, spent an extra afternoon in Venice and took the night train home. Granted, it's not the worst thing that can happen(How terrible! More time in Venice!), but it is frustrating when you are all packed up and ready to go, but your train simply does not show up. We're home now and I will post pictures as soon as I get to sorting through them.
