Appreciating Salzburg

My first year at the University of Salzburg is almost over (one more exam to go) and I am ashamed to say that I have almost no pictures of this beautiful city. So on Tuesday, I took a break from studying, left my books home alone and spent some quality time with my camera. Today I present you with a few images of the heart of Salzburg's old town.

Here I am standing on Mozartplatz,
looking onto the Residenzplatz
with the cathedral to the left
and Cafe Demel to the right.
As if on command,
Austrian Airlines decided to fly overhead at just the right moment.
The cathedral from the other side.
Standing on Kapitelplatz, with the castle above.

Kapitelplatz

There is much more of Salzburg to see and, unfortunately, I did not even come close to capturing the majority of it. However, I do have a few more glimpses in store for you. But for now, Blogger is driving me crazy, my books are calling to me and I feel absolutely uninspired, hence the very boring captions.
