DC Days: Washington From Above

Unfortunately, the day we finally made it up to the top of the Washington Monument was one of the very few bad-weather days we had during our entire trip. Nonetheless, it was a fun day, especially considering that I myself hadn't been up there since I was about five years old.

I spy the White House.

Capitol Hill and the National Mall

The Jefferson Memorial and Tidal Basin.

The Potomac River.

And back on the ground: Lincoln Memorial

I promise I have had a life since I've come back from my trip over a month ago, but this vacation meant a lot to me and so I wanted to put the effort into documenting it here.

I've never been to the top of the Washington Monument... in fact, I've never been a lot of places in DC. I am thoroughly enjoying these photos, not least because they're reminding me that I should go up there more often. It's only three hours away, after all.

Next time you come, let me know!
