I'm not sure it would be possible to forget to vote today... and those stories about the lines? They're true at a lot of places. I, at least, waited an hour and a half, and was told the wait was 3 hours when the polls opened.
YAY! So glad all those people came out. It was a privilege to wait in line with them.
I have enjoyed catching up on your latest posts. My younger son was in the University in Glasgow for four years (he was also a supporter of one of the football teams there) and so I know it well.
The rainy day in Glasgow struck a chord: you probably know the main street there is called Sauchiehall Street. My father used to say "As miserable as Sauchihall Street on a wet Sunday afternoon"!
I must say it looks more cheerful in your picture :-)
paintandink: I voted per absentee ballot, but I would have loved to join in on the line-standing action :-) And the free coffee, ice cream and donuts!
maalie: I was only in Glasgow for a day, but I liked it very much. Well, except for the weather. I remember Sauchiehall, but am not sure if this is actually it. My favorite part was the Glasgow School of Art!
