I was planning on doing a "This Week In Pictures" post, maybe even making that a regular thing for the weekend. Unfortunately, I did not manage to take pictures every day. So this is all I ended up with:
I spent most of Monday studying for an exam I had on Wednesday. As you can see, it looks like great fun. Of course I thought of taking pictures while studying. Anything is more interesting than statistics.
On Tuesday my uncle and I visited my cousin who lives about an hour from Salzburg. The weather was gorgeous, we ate Schnitzel outside and then sat on her patio enjoying some ice cream. I was too preoccupied with my food, playing with the kids and catching up with my cousin to get out my camera, but managed to take these two pictures from the window of the car on our way back into the city. This is also the area where I will be working again this summer. I absolutely cannot wait, it is one of my favorite places in the world. Can you see why?
Today I woke up and the sky was gray and light misty rain was falling. Lying between my freshly washed sheets I couldn't help but think that this would be the perfect kind of Saturday to spend in bed. Nonetheless, I got up and ate breakfast with my room mates, only to end up back in bed afterwards. The pull was just too strong. I abandoned my plans to study this afternoon and after finishing up my book (The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger; I absolutely loved it), watching some episodes of Grey's Anatomy and Sex and the City, catching up on some gossip via magazines, reading my favorite blogs and checking emails, it has become dark outside, the rain has increased and I can still be found in my bed. Sometimes, one just has to take the time to be a little bit lazy.
